Howdy,
This week rocked. So, to start off I will tell you about our two new promising investigators. They are a young couple with two children. We have been stopping by to teach them for the past six weeks, ever since we found them tracting. They got married in Vegas like four weeks ago so that takes care of that problem. Well, this last week they really caught on fire. We saw them every day but Tuesday and they are awesome 'cause it was a very different kind of teaching. We didn't sit down and teach lessons, per se, 'cause they had sooo many questions. Anyway, it turns out they realized that some things they thought about Mormons were really fabricated lies, and so when they found that out it just fed their fire to learn more. The mom has been having anxiety attacks and stuff so we gave her a blessing Friday. Well, after the blessing, all that she heard is she needs to come to church. That wasn't mentioned in the blessing, though. Anyway, they came to church and realized that when Mormons go to church they really go to church! We were skeptical of how their experience went that night when we got a message from them in our voicemail. The mom said hey guys I just wanted to thank you guys for inviting us to church (we didn't invite her---she came on her own) and for teaching us and for all you've done for us, (at this point me and my comp are thinking, oh crud, she is dropping us---she hated church) and she goes onto say, yeah, thanks for not giving up on us (they ignored us alot to start with) and our lives have completely changed and thank you and, yeah, we really wanna become members of your church---talk to ya later bye.

We didn't see that coming we never asked her to do anything. We taught her and her husband and they changed on their own---crazy stuff. It was the best message I've ever had! Anyway, me and another missionary went over there and now they have chosen to be baptized in June! There are some smoking and drinking issues, but we talked about that and they are willing to quit. One of the reasons the church is true is 'cause it can reach out to people like them and accept them.

So, two more people now know that Mormons aren't all that bad and they loved church and loved the people and all is well. They have a girl and a boy and if all goes well, they will grow up in the church and live good lives. That's where the Joy in this work comes from and the great thing is we did quite honestly nothing. We taught and they made the choices.

Well, that's all---we are taking them to see the Temple this Wednesday---that should be fun and were having dinner with them tonight.

Love y'all,

Elder Schroeder
